The thing I love about life is that the right things come to you at the right time for the right reasons so on this ever evolving road to self discovery I learn an abundance of things everyday and I love to learn and much as I love to teach.
I am currently compiling a book called Agents of Action and what I loved about this process is you have an idea which this is Agents of Action the everyday diaries of the new age entrepreneur, a raw insight to inside the mind of an entrepreneur and how they make “stuff” happen. What will be a motivating read for aspiring entrepreneurs the go getters…
I wanted to gather a small group of new age entrepreneurs so not the ones we already know about the everyday ones the business people who are breaking the business moulds and doing things differently to those before us. So when you put the call out you don’t know who it’s going to attract but the process is amazing it attracts the right people that are up for the task because these people are able to think outside the square and we do things differently so we get it. We know that Agents of Action is going to be amazing because we are in fact agents of action we walk the talk and although we come from all walks of life from a variety of industries we have the same drive and determination….a thirst to make a difference and be true to ourselves.
As the chapters are beginning to roll in the great Mr Warwick Merry, The Get More Guy says “What do you want to be when you grow?” the question is do you have to? We don’t think so and truth be told it’s OK not to know what you want to do and if you really want to dare to be different you can say aloud-
I DON’T KNOW and you know what? It’s OK
I’ve been asking myself that very question for years, receiving many a strange look from various people. Some of those never even entertained the idea of not knowing what you want to be/do. Perhaps it IS ok not to know, perhaps it’s even ok not to grow up? My whole life has been such an exploration of things I LIKE, or MIGHT like, that I don’t know if I will ever be able to settle on just one thing.
I know Charles Handy often talked about people having a “portfolio” of jobs or vocations in the new world of work – which I think we are now seeing – and I’ve always really liked that idea. Not having to choose just one thing. To keep playing at different things. If only I could find a way of making a living from all the things I like to do….
Hey Dorothy,
You have given me an idea WOOT thank you so much 🙂
I have said that my life as well but I am lucky that I now have clarity around my purpose and my mission. Start with what do you like and what don’t you like and go from there.
But I’ll touch more on this because there is so much more we can cover.

I’m glad I’m not alone on the “not knowing what I want to do when I grow up”. Phew. My parents used to say that I’m very fickle minded. And when I look at it now, can you blame me, I don’t think it’s wrong to keep on changing our “ambitions” as we grow through life. I guess my parents came from a generation where they chose what they wanted to do and had to just stick to it. With so many choices in life now, we are spoilt for choice and so, not knowing where or what I want to be in the next few years (ok, I have some idea, but I know it will change again), is perfectly ok. And that is why I never ask my children what they want to be when they grow up.
Hey Norlin,
You’re right a different generation I dont think they knew that they could enjoy their jobs and thank god we have a choice….YAY! I don’t ask mind either actually and i’m not about to start 🙂

Maybe if it makes me millions 😉
